Notes on Kite Aerial Photography: Thumbnail Gallery
|
These aerial images show a section of land near the Bay edge of Berkeley that has recently been going through an interesting transition. Cordornices Creek bisects this area bounded by the Union Pacific railroad tracks, UC Berkeley's Albany Village and a commercial zone to the north of Gilman Street. My sons once played soccer here and both Albany and Berkeley have improved their soccer facilities here. More recently, the lower section of the Creek has been liberated from a former 'straight shot" concrete ditch and awaits the opening of a new meandering channel, a work in progress that is evident in the photos.

Explanatory note. This page was created using Photoshop CS's Web Gallery script. The script handles the resizing, sharpening, and equalization of the images automatically. While this is certainly convenient for your author the results are not quite as nice as custom processing. |
